On Saturday morning May 4th, 2013 while away from Colorado, I was contacted by rancher Miller about his latest animal mutilation. He’s had three previous mutilations, one on 03/17/09 ( a 1 week old calf) one on 08/06/11 (a 5 year old Red Angus) and one just recently on 09/12 (a 4-5 year old Red Angus), and now this one which is a 2 week old Red Angus calf. This now makes his fourth that I’ve known about. A previous interview I had with him earlier this year, he confessed to me there were probably other mutilations throughout the years but were dismissed for one reason or another. Now being experienced with this strange phenomenon, he knows the key elements to look for before considering if his animal’s death is of natural or unnatural causes.

The following investigative notes were taken from a phone interview with rancher Miller.

Rancher has agreed to remove and freeze samples for me so I can transport them to a lab with specific instructions, when I return to Colorado.

Summary of Investigation:

Every mutilation case I work on appears to have something unique about it. This case the animal was literally skinned away from its spinal vertebra leaving the hide, head and legs behind. Obviously no animal can do this type of damage cutting the hide away so perfectly and clean, so one would expect a human with hunting and hide dressing skills. But why? Why would a person do this? How could they do this without leaving blood stains on the hide? Without leaving blood stains on the ground vegetation? Without leaving foot prints? Without leaving any evidence they were even there? Why?

I’d like to thank the Millers for contacting me and informing me about their latest case and allowing me to inform the public about it. The more the public learns about these cases, the more they’ll contact investigators like myself to help them solve these cases. With every case I learn about, with every sample I take and have analyzed, the more I learn and get closer to learning the truth behind these Animal Cruelty Cases.

What You Don’t Know, Will Kill You!

“Out There…” is where stoner comedy meets paranormal thriller, a movie project here in Colorado derived from the creative mind of Bonne’ Bartron with Angry Puppy Productions. Bonne’ grew up in a Military environment and spent most of her youthful life moving across the USA and Europe. Her father, a highly decorated career Green Beret and very supportive mother gave her the freedom she needed to pursue personal goals which included making movies.

Her uncle Bill Martin, is well-known for writing the classic film and one of my favorites, “Harry and the Henderson’s”, the story of an urban family befriending a Bigfoot which moves in with them and …well if you haven’t seen it, then you need to, take it from a Bigfoot investigator, so yes, the movie industry is in Bonne’s DNA.

With a lifelong passion for film, music, and cinema magic, she moved to Los Angeles California in 2007 to pursue her dream by learning from professional filmmakers. 6 years rolls by with thousands of production hours and five original screenplays under her belt, she decided to venture back home near Colorado Springs to make Out There… in the State that inspired this comedic paranormal thriller, and bring it to life.

(Excerpt from OutThere’s information page on kickstarter.com)

Out There… features actual UFO and Cattle Mutilation sites! It was originally funded by 2 different producers at different times, but as it often does, circumstances put the pause button on us! (Or was it a conspiracy?) So, this time we decided to bring it to kickstarter.com and put it in the hands of the people!

What put the pause on the project was Los Angeles backers wanted to shoot the film in Northern California for convenience, but Bonne’ disagreed, the events in the script occur in Colorado, so the film needs to be shot in Colorado for legitimacy. She wants to film at actual areas depicted in the script, where UFOs were sighted and animal mutilations occurred, thus giving the film a vision of reality. Most writer/director/producers take the easy way out, but Bonne’ decided to turn down the plastics of Hollywood for the landscapes of Colorado.

When I found out about this project from a member on the UFOnut team, I contacted Bonne’ and offered my assistance to help her develop the animal mutilation sequence so it appears as real as possible. My intention is to raise public awareness into this strange phenomenon by educating the public showing them what’s actually involved with these cases. Well it appeared Bonne’ and I were on the same page because she too wants to make the mutilation sequence as authentic as possible. Uhh.. without killing an actual animal. Then I remembered I had samples left over from two previous investigations and offered them to Bonne’ to be used as movie props. One sample is soil taken from a mutilation case in 2012 and the other sample is bio, a small piece of hide cut from the animal on a 2011 investigation. What’s so significant about these two samples are, even though they are a year apart, they are exactly one year apart and occurred with the same rancher! This is truly unique and mysterious.

Bonné then decided to help fund her movie project; she would use the specimens as props and offer these two donated samples as prizes for supporting the project delivering them after the movie is completed. As fate would dictate, the bio-specimen was taken from an unknown circular wound from the anal area. Now you have to understand this is a science fiction comedy which will feature a piece of ass from a cow. Yep the project is already having fun with that remark on their website as a reward feature. I didn’t consider using the bio-specimen for analysis because it was contaminated by air leaking into the container in which it lays soaking in formalin, so yes it smells like ass.

The soil samples are in two small containers with one sample taken near the animal and the other sample taken from a test location. What’s significant about the soil samples are, the animal was lying in the middle of a 15 to 16 foot circular ground depression. Previous samples I had analyzed under these types of conditions showed the soil was less soluble near the animal inside the circle compared to the test sample taken outside the circle. So the soil being auctioned off could actually show abnormalities in the soil nutrients.

Even though this movie has lighthearted moments there will be nothing light hearted about the mutilation sequences, or the terrifying truth behind what’s “Out There.”… The audience will be in for one wild ride. Bonne’ and I are very serious about the mutilation phenomenon and it will appear that way on the film. With an estimate of 10,000 mutilation’s which have occurred (reported by George Knapp), this is the number one animal cruelty cold case in history. No one has ever been caught, tried, or convicted.

So stop by the film’s website and show your support which will help raise animal mutilation awareness across the country, because if we don’t do it, nobody will. And don’t forget to tell your friends and neighbors and colleagues at work, it’s time to become aware of these strange phenomena’s happing all around us and remember to always watch out for what’s, “Out There…”.

Cya! I’m Outta Here!

From time to time I get asked, “If intelligent alien life forms exist outside this planet, then they should be able to communicate with us either from their own planet or if and when they visit ours.” Well not necessarily, let me explain. Let’s look in our own back yard which covers the majority of our planet. The oceans.

The Long – Beaked Common Dolphin

The Common dolphin or (Delphinus delphis) is identified by the colored hourglass pattern on its side. The hour-glass pattern is light grey or tan or yellow with a dark stripe from the flipper to the lower jaw. The other distinctive feature is the well-defined long black beak. The Long Beaked Common Dolphin lives in warm temperature shallow waters. These pictures of dolphins were seen off the coast of San Diego, California.

The Common Dolphin lives in large groups called pods and are very social. The groups or “pods” can be anywhere from 50 to in-the-thousands. They work together in the pods to catch a vast variety of prey from squid to smaller fish like sardines, anchovies and pilchards. Dolphins in particular are very vocal and produce a range of click and whistles used for both communication and navigation.

Various news agencies reported in February 2013, that proceedings from the Royal Society B stated, “Bottlenose dolphins call out the specific names of loved ones when they become separated.” Other than humans, these dolphins seem to be the only other animals to do this. Using whistles, they give themselves specific names in which they can identify themselves to other dolphins within their pods or other associated pods. This new finding also claims the dolphins can respond to each other by saying the names of other dolphins involved in various situations. This is truly an amazing discovery!

California Gray whales off the coast of San Diego

Every year thousands of Eastern North Pacific Gray whales (Eschrichtius robustus) or what we call the California Grays, (not the alien ones) migrate from feeding grounds in the Arctic to the warm waters of Mexico. This migration takes them 8,500 to 11,000 miles swimming at a pace of about 5 mph. These whales can reach a length of 46 feet and weigh up to 36 tons (72,000 pounds). At birth the calves are about 15 feet long and can weigh close to one ton (2,000 pounds). They generally travel in small pods of about 3 whales, but the pod could have as many as 16.

The Eastern Pacific Gray Whale is the most ancient Baleen whale alive in the world today. Grays feed along the bottom of the seafloor by scooping up large mouthfuls of sediment and strain small invertebrates through their baleen.

The migration starts late December to early January and whales begin to arrive from the Arctic to the lagoons of the Mexican waters. The first to arrive are generally the pregnant mothers who look to the lagoons for protection while birthing. By mid-February and into mid March, the majority of the Gray Whales have reached the waters, including the young ones which were born on the way. Their vacation is short and the first to leave are the newly mated males and females without calves. Pregnant females and nursing mothers with their newborn calves are the last to leave. They leave only when their calves are ready for the long journey back, which usually starts from late March to mid April.

The California Gray Whale’s skin is usually gray with some blotchy white spots including hundreds of pounds of barnacles and whale lice attached to it. There are little or no parasites on its right side because of the way it scrapes along the ocean bottom to feed. They have a layer of blubber up to 10 inches thick and there are hairy bristles (vibrassae) on the Gray Whale’s snout and front of the head. These are used as tactile sensors, like kitty cat whiskers.

The California Gray Whale has two broad flippers, no dorsal fin, and a series of small ridges along its back near the flukes. The ‘Gray’ whales emit grunts, clicks, and whistling sounds which are produced by breaching and are used in communication with other ‘Gray’ whales.

Now that we know a little about dolphins and whales, what have we learned? Well, we learned they can communicate with themselves, but can’t communicate with each other. In other words, they can’t communicate outside their species. Some websites say they can, but they can’t, not directly. They do understand each other’s behavior from time to time, but not each other’s language.

As we learned earlier, the Bottle Nose Dolphins are more advanced than we originally thought, with the ability to assign each other names for identification. Unfortunately they can’t do that with their close neighbors, the whale. And as far as we know, the California Grays language is no where near the dolphin’s where it comes to name recognition. It is unknown at this time if the Common Dolphin has this name recognition ability too!

So how does this relate to alien existence outside our planet and how they might be able to communicate with us? Simple… uh in theory.

We have highly intelligent animals living within our oceans which have the means of communicating with each other but only within their own species. In other words, “They can’t talk to the other guys or Grays!” So if we have species on this planet who have lived together in the same environment, the ocean for 1000′s of years, what makes people think that intelligent life living outside this planet in the oceans of space, could do any better? Well maybe they can’t.

There could be limitations within our speech pattern they can’t replicate, and visa versa. Limitations could also include everything from vocal chord structure, methodologies in communicative perception and body language limitations. So what does this mean? This means a long hard learning curve might need to be considered when trying to communicate between alien and human species. Just because they’re intelligent and we’re intelligent, doesn’t mean we’ll be able to communicate with each other and get it right the first time.

So if we get it right, then we’ll be able to move forward with our new friends, but if we get it wrong and the Bottle Nose dolphins beat us to it, then just like the book, “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”, the Bottle Nose dolphins will say,

“So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish!”

( Picture Courtesy Torres Family )

Labor Day weekend, September 2012, I investigated a bizarre animal mutilation on the Torres ranch involving a cow in Trinidad, Colorado. The animal was a young Heifer born in March of that year and was found with the udder removed, the tongue cut out and an incision around the ear. One of the most unusual anomalies was the large oval ground depression in which the animal was laying in when found. The ground depression was 22 feet in diameter and when I had soil samples analyzed comparing dirt from within the circle to outside the circle, I found that the CEC’s, Cation Exchange Capacity was lower by the animal inside the circular depression than compared to the sample taken outside the circle. The “CEC” is the degree to which soil can absorb cations or positive charged ions which also affects saturation making the soil less soluble near the animal.

This strange nutrient anomaly effecting the CEC’s, was also found in soil samples I had analyze in the Miller mutilation case of 2011, the Kansas City Missouri mutilation case of 2012, the Georgia mutilation case of 2012, and finally the Torres mutilation case of 2012.

Yes I’m starting to see a pattern!

( Picture Courtesy Sally Miller )

Two weeks after I investigated the Torres mutilation, I was contacted by rancher Miller who is also from Trinidad. He found one of his missing cows that appeared to have been mutilated around the same time the Torres’s animal was mutilated. Rancher Miller had two previous mutilations which I had investigated, one on 03/17/09 (a one week old calf) and the other on 08/06/11 ( a 5 year old Red Angus). This new mutilation he found was also a Red Angus cow about 4 years old. I was unable to roll on this mutilation due to my work schedule, but considering this mutilation was two weeks old, I knew I wouldn’t be able to take good hide samples. What I didn’t know was something else about this mutilation which was very exciting.

Jump to the weekend of March 09th, 2013.

I was travelling through Trinidad and contacted rancher Miller to discuss his last mutilation. To my surprise, he said he had just recently visited the site and the majority of the carcass was still there, and it appeared to be lying in a large ground depression; Also since decaying had set in, the rib cage was more noticeable. Upon examining the rib cage, rancher Miller was able to confirm his previous assumptions, the left side of the rib cage was crushed, as if the animal had been dropped from a great height.

Needless to say, I immediately altered my schedule and met with rancher Miller to investigate his last mutilation.

(Animal as seen on Saturday March 9th. Ground depression still visible)

When I reached the site I was surprised to see so much of the animal still there! Usually five months after an animal’s death, the carcass is generally just bones and some hide due to scavengers ripping it apart. Why was this animal’s carcass still intact?

Left side of head showing jaw incision and missing ear cored out

The head was still visible with hardly any signs of scavenger damage to the hide. Compared to Miller’s picture (shown above) which was taken within two weeks of the mutilation in September 2012, my picture amazingly still shows the jaw damage.

The eyes, unless they were cored out due to the mutilation, are generally eaten by birds within the first 8 hours of death. The hide is usually pulled and ripped apart by scavengers within 30 days, so why is this carcass still here?

Left leg showing cored out dewclaw.

This is the first investigation in which the dewclaw had been removed from two separate legs. There is absolutely no explanation for this and no nutritional value for scavengers.

Left side of rib cage from head view, showing crushed ribs.

Generally over a period of time the cartilage in the ribs will break down and the ribs just fall out, but these ribs were broken. Compound Fractures! The right side of the rib cage which was laying in the dirt, was what you would expect for the age of the carcass, some pulled from the cartilage but not crushed like the left side. Also the right side of the rib cage as well as the right side of the animal was hammered into the ground like a meteor impact.

This animal did not simply fall over and die because of natural causes, it was dropped after it was killed!

Animal Statistics:

Breed: Red Angus, female.

Age: 4-5 years old.

Weight: est. 800 to 900 pounds.

Length: est. 8 feet from nose to hind area.

Gurth: est. 8 feet around.

Investigative Notes:

Rancher saw no signs of predator damage or cause when he originally found the carcass.

Rancher saw no signs of human intervention when originally found.

Rancher saw no signs of blood pooling in or around the animal when originally found.

Rancher noticed the animal had been slammed down into the dirt, suspected internal injuries.

Rancher noticed legs were broken and twisted as if thrown to the ground.

My Investigation:

Radiation check on ground and animal: None detected.

EMF (Electro-Magnetic-Field) detection: 8-10 micro-teslas at carcass.

EMF (Electro-Magnetic-Field) detection: 25-30 micro-tesla spike within ground depression sweep.

Magnetic Sweep: No metallic’s detected on or near animal carcass.

Animal was pointing head first at 300 degrees per compass reading.

No unusual compass fluctuation around or near animal.

Animal was lying in a 15-16 foot diameter ground depression, soil samples were taken inside the circle and 20 feet outside the circle. Analysis pending.

Left side damage as seen originally by rancher:

Long oval incision-type wound around left side jaw 10 inches in length.

Oval wound where left ear used to be.

Left horn completely broken off.

Oval hole between front left foreleg. Similar to his last mutilation.

Oval hole at location of udder.

Oval hole near anal area.

Ribs on left side were broken as if dropped from a great height.

Missing dewclaw front left and rear right leg.

Rear legs twisted and broken at their joints as if dropped.

Summary analysis:

I wish I was able to investigate this animal last year when rancher Miller found it, but was very pleased to see the site and see what was still there. You ask any veterinarian what a carcass would look like after 5 months after death, and they’ll say not much left. Why was this animal still intact? And why was the animal laying in a round ground depression just like my previous cases? Was the ground depression caused by the energy source responsible for holding the animal then dropping it? Was the ground depression caused by an energy source responsible for propulsion? Or is the ground depression the cause of some other anomaly not considered yet?

Either way, I’m getting closer and closer to understanding the who, what and why, with every mutilation I investigate, every rancher I interview, and every sample I have analyzed. One way or another, with the help of the rancher’s, with the help from law enforcement agencies, and with the help from readers like yourself, I will eventually blow the lid off this animal cruelty crime!

Stay Tuned… and as always, your comments are welcomed.

On Friday February 15th over the Ural Mountains in the city of Chelyabinsk, Russian people experienced what the beginning of the end would look like. A meteor NASA estimates about 50 foot in diameter and 10 tons in weight, exploded over the skies of this Russian city with the magnitude close to 500 kilotons of energy. Over 1500 people were injured with an estimated 33 million dollars of damage. The meteor entered the atmosphere about 20 degrees from the horizon traveling an estimated 40,000 miles per hour. This explosion or “Airburst” event usually happens once in a century says the European Space Agency, but one in one hundred years, is one too many for me.

The Chelyabinsk airburst event is considered one of the largest air impacts since the River Curuca impact in 1930 and the Tunguska impact in 1908.

The Curuca airburst event occurred on the morning of August 13th, 1930 along the banks of the river Curuca in the Brazilian Amaxonas region. Three large explosions were heard and moments later the nearby forest caught fire. The fire burned for several months forcing occupants along the river to re-locate. The local Brazilian people thought this was the end of their world.

Photo from Kulik’s aerial photographic survey (1938) of the Tunguska region.

The Tunguska airburst event occurred near the Podkamennaya Tunguska River which is now known as Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, in the early evening on June 30th 1908. The explosion is believed to have been caused by an air burst of a large meteoroid or comet fragment about 4 miles above the Earth’s surface. The force knocked down an estimated 80 million trees covering an overwhelming 830 square miles. With an estimated size of the object around 300 feet, it is probably the largest Earth impact in Earth’s recorded history.

Leonid Alekseyevich Kulik was a Russian mineralogist who lead the first Soviet research expedition in 1927 to investigate the Tunguska airburst event. He interviewed nearby village people who witnessed the event while he was taking samples and mapping out the destruction. With much amazement he saw that all the trees had fallen in a circular fashion with their roots all turned towards the center. His amazement continued with the lack of finding any evidence a meteor had fallen in the region. As a mineralogist he took many different samples looking for meteorite fragments but found none.

This leads us to the UFO section of this blog.

Some Tunguska researchers believe a UFO exploded over the region completely vaporizing itself miles above the ground creating a massive shock wave that destroyed that region. Since the 1908 airburst multiple expeditions neglected to find meteor fragments but also neglected to find any type of exotic metals too which would point to an alien ship explosion.

Which leads us to the next UFO possibility.

Another theory points to a cosmic battle between alien races with one of their explosive projectiles hitting the atmosphere and detonating. If the alien device was derived of pure energy, then no signature evidence would be found. As funny as this may sound, there could be some merit to it.

Vimanas of Ancient India.

The Vedic literature of India composed around 1500 BC, was the earliest texts found in Sanskrit language combined within four books. The language describes multiple flying machines called, “Vimanas” which were controlled by the Gods. Two types of flying machines were labeled, one a manmade craft resembling modern day airplanes and the other non-aerodynamic in nature and flown by non-humans. The Sanskrit texts described great battles in the sky using these machines which deployed high energy weapons resembling nuclear armaments of modern day. Could it have been a machine similar to the Vimanas of India which caused the Tunguska explosion?

Meteorite fragments have been found pertaining to the recent Russian airburst and presently are comparable to gold prices when sold on the open market. Yet the majority of Russians think differently.

A survey published by the Moscow daily Noviye IZvestia found that less than half of its readers believe the official report of the meteor strike. The majority believe it could have been a secret US weapon test, or an off-course ballistic missile. Twenty five percent of Russians believe in UFOs, and some of them think an alien ship had exploded causing all the damage. Their beliefs in a non-meteor event stem from the long history of their government lying to them from time to time.

But the real issue may not be the debate over what exploded over the skies of Russia, the real issue may be the lack of notification to the people. Like a tornado ripping through a small town without notice, today’s very high technology could not detect the object and warn the city in Russia. Regardless if it was a missile or a meteor the size of a city bus, there were no warnings to notify them. This is very alarming.

All evidence points to a meteor strike but no evidence points to a simple “hey watch out” by either the Russian or the US governments. Are we are actually blind to objects of that size firing into our atmosphere from deep space? US Space Command boasts they can track small spacecraft debris the size of an astronaut’s tool lost during a spacewalk, but they can’t see a 50 foot diameter object flying towards the planet at 40,000 miles an hour! Why?

Well Space Command only tracks objects in Earth’s orbit which could affect space flights and satellites in general, but (NEO) the Near Earth Object program tracks potentially hazardous asteroids and comets that could approach the Earth at any time. They claim their goal is to locate at least 90 percent of the estimated 1000 asteroids and comets that approach the Earth and are larger than 1 kilometer or about 2/3-mile in diameter. So 10 percent larger than 2/3-mile in diameter and 100 percent smaller than 2/3-mile in diameter could totally be un-detected approaching Earth!

So there it is, any object under 2/3-mile in diameter sprinting to our planet can be easily missed by our current technology. This obviously would also include any type of UFO racing in and out of our atmosphere completely undetected, unless it was larger than 2/3-mile in diameter. And if that was the case, then a meteor just may not sound that bad.

Sunday, September 2nd, 2012, a dead cow was found on the Torres family ranch near Trinidad, Colorado. Monday the 3rd (Labor Day), rancher Torres ran into rancher Mike Duran at the local Labor Day parade and told Duran about the death of one of his cows. Rancher Duran, who had a similar mutilation in 2009 investigated by me, later contacted me and informed me of this new mutilation. By 5:30pm that day, I was able to acquire rancher Torres’s phone number and call him. I set up a meeting the following day, Tuesday the 4th in Trinidad at approximately 8:00am to see the animal.

On Saturday June 2nd, 2012, the UFOnut team consisting of myself, Matt Morgan and Trina Bivens met with Kate Murphy at the Bigfoot sighting location in Bailey, Colorado.

Thursday May 30th, 2012, UFOnut.com received an email from two female eye witnesses (names on file) reporting their Bigfoot sighting in the Pike National Forest here in Colorado.

On Saturday June 2nd, 2012, the UFOnut team consisting of myself, Matt Morgan and Trina Bivens met with one of the eye witnesses at the sighting location in Bailey. We spent the next four hours investigating the area where the eye-witness and her friend had the encounter finding a multitude of evidence which verified and solidified their sighting. A full report plus a video of our investigation “Episode 010: Bailey Bigfoot Returns” was released on the UFonut.com website within a couple of days after that investigation.

I then returned the following week with Bailey area Search and Rescue tracker Dennis, to retrieve a motion sensing camera I had left at the site. While there I utilized Dennis’s expert tracking techniques to confirm the evidence the team had found a week before. To much surprise, not only was Dennis able to confirm what we found was very unique and not of human origin, but that Dennis himself found new exciting evidence we had missed. Thank you Dennis!

After releasing this investigation to the public, Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot staff had seen the video and read my investigative reports. Very interested in the eye witnesses sighting and the evidence from my investigation, they decided to visit Bailey while in Colorado researching an old 8mm film footage of a possible Bigfoot.

The following information is about their Episode 31, portraying my eye witnesses sighting.

In late September early August, I was contacted by a representative with the Finding Bigfoot show, asking for my help by delivering to them notes and detailed pictures of my investigation. One of the eye witnesses had also been contacted by the show asking permission to film her about her sighting too! The other eye-witness had since moved, and was enjoying the sunny weather in Florida.

Show taping day, my wife Tammy and I arrived in Bailey early Saturday morning September 9th, to meet with one of the eye witnesses. She wanted to go back to the site and go over the investigation I did, so as to refresh herself with my findings and be fully prepared for her taping.

The UFOnut truck at the beautiful Bailey Lodge.

Dennis met us at the sighting location to help me mark with orange flags, all the places we found evidence Bigfoot had been in the area. Our intention was to have the area marked and ready for the Finding Bigfoot team which would help them with their investigation while filming with the eye-witness. This would make my eye witness’s sighting more solid with evidence than other “hear-say” sightings, which have been on their shows in the past.

Based on my notes, my pictures, and still outstanding evidence, we were able to recreate the path Bigfoot ran marking it with orange flags.

One section of Bigfoot’s run, depicted by the orange flags.

Another section of Bigfoot’s run, depicted by the orange flags.

To our surprise, evidence still existed from the Bigfoot encounter. One crucial piece of evidence was this log in which something large and heavy had stepped on, damaging it from its weight. The log was in direct line with Bigfoot’s run.

Original evidence from investigation still there.

Another crucial piece of evidence was found by Dennis while with me a week after my initial investigation. This evidence which you can still clearly see, shows something extremely large had sat down. Dennis verified this was not an animal den and clearly showed a rump and right hand depression showing something very large had sat there and pushed himself up to leave.

Remember Dennis is a Search and Rescue tracker and looks for evidence like this pointing to the direction of lost hikers. He’s familiar with similar evidence like this made by humans but not of this magnitude of size. Someone very large and heavy replicated a much smaller human sitting, then getting up.

Original evidence of investigation still there.

After spending a couple of hours marking the area Bigfoot ran and marking all still existing evidence, we ventured back to the lodge area for the Finding Bigfoot Town Hall Meeting scheduled for 5:00pm that night.

Witnesses and spectators arriving for the show’s Town Hall taping at the Moore Dale Event Center.

The building where the Town Hall meeting was taped, packed up with eye witnesses, investigators, and friends of friends who had Bigfoot encounters. The meeting ran about three hours and the Finding Bigfoot team was very patient and professional.

Note: For all future Finding Bigfoot town hall guests; If you haven’t personally experienced an encounter with Bigfoot, please don’t waste everyone’s time by telling a story about a friend of a friend. Without first hand personal experience and no evidence to back it up, it’s just a story, maybe a good one, but it’s still just a story.

Eye witness describing her sighting to the Finding Bigfoot team, Cliff, Matt, Ranae and James (Bobo) listening.

(photo taken from aired TV show “Finding Bigfoot Episode 31, Bigfoot Merit Badge”, which aired Sunday 01-20-2013. )

The episode shows the team splitting up with James Fay and Ranae Holland investigating the eye witnesses sighting while Matt and Cliff take off on other adventures.

Now this is where the episode goes somewhat sour for me, as a real investigator.

At the location of the Bailey sighting we had previously marked Bigfoot’s run including locations in which evidence still existed. While the eye-witness was there for over three hours of taping, not once did Bobo or Ranae ever look at the evidence we marked. Sure they asked her a lot of questions, but never inquired about the orange flags! They never took the time to have her walk out to the area where the flags were located so she could explain them. She could have easily pointed out the flags depicting Bigfoot’s run which would have helped Bobo and Ranae’s investigation and recreation. During the show you can clearly see my orange flags behind Bobo while he was talking, so you know the flags were there during taping.

Bobo (James) did re-create Bigfoot’s run, but according to the eye witness, ran less than half the distance I ran, and not exactly where I had placed the flags. Bobo’s run might have been done for camera angles, lighting and other, and it appeared it was just for a production shot and not for a real investigation. Bobo mentioned during the episode, the reason he didn’t run very fast, was fear of falling down on the uneven terrain. In my investigation video, I ran the total distance twice at top speed wearing knee pads and heavy gloves in case I crash and burned. Neither Bobo nor I was able to recreate the speed of the Bigfoot in which the eye witnesses had experienced. This proves at least two men, one just under 6 foot, and one well over 6 foot, couldn’t recreate the Bigfoot run at speed!

What the women saw that day was not a man running through the forest! Too bad for you skeptics.

So here is a TV staged mockery of my investigation and the sighting. Out of all the evidence I gave the production company, out of all the evidence we marked for them reflecting the actual investigation, none of it was ever considered. Not that I was expecting to see my evidence on the show, I was at the least expecting real investigators to at least look at it.

So now the hundred (bad economy) dollar question? Why did James (Bobo) agree the eye-witness actually saw a Bigfoot if he never even considered the evidence I left for him? Was it because my previous investigation blog and video was so good, that he accepted the sighting as valid? Or was he there just to tape a show?

I’d like to thing it was because of my investigation.

As for Ranae, I had talked with her and described my investigation in some detail. I also told her I marked key areas for them to see when they film the eye witness . All she could say was, “We don’t know who or what investigations we’ll be looking at, we’ll decide that after the Town Hall Meeting”. But it was the eye witness’s sighting and my investigation which brought them to Bailey, we know this because we were both contacted by the production company separately!

Is there a lack in communication between the production company and the investigators? No, I’m sure the team knows, the sightings they investigate need to be kept a secret until the show airs. Ranae was just doing her job.

So what about their investigation? Is it real or TV Reality?

It appears the Finding Bigfoot Team are more reality actors than actual investigators now, well at least for the show. Matt, James and Cliff have a history of being investigators before the show aired on Animal Planet, so we know they are authentic. While I was there I was able to spend a little time with Cliff, James and Ranae and we talked about investigations in general. They’re really nice individuals and are very up-in-their-game when it comes to “Squatching”, so I know they know their stuff. Unfortunately the show may be limiting them to what they can or can-not do. What a shame.

Will I ever work with the show again? Not sure, I’ve worked with Ping Pong Productions in the past and it’s always about the show and never about the witnesses or the investigations. It’s, “What can you do for us, and do it for free”, never about the human side of the investigation portraying the evidence properly. Like I said, they are a production company, and very good at what they do. They may come across seeming like A-holes from time to time, but they’re just doing their job they’ve been contracted for.

As for the Finding Bigfoot Team, it appears they’re just doing their job too, which happens to be Reality TV, at the moment.

Numerous times either during an investigation or after a lecture, I’ll hear the same old broken record from skeptics from time to time saying UFOs or extraterrestrials don’t exist! There’s no proof! There’s no explanation! And they always use the principle of Occam’s Razor for their defense.

Skeptics claim the rule of Occam’s Razor states: The simplest explanation is the most correct one.

Well they either didn’t study philosophy or were asleep during the class, because that can’t be further from the truth.

Occam’s Razor is not a clear-cut theory and should not be used as one. William of Ockham was a very complex individual and many people today still argue about what he said or didn’t say.

So what is Occam’s Razor?

William of Ockham (1287-1349) was an English Franciscan Friar well-known at that time as a Roman Catholic philosopher. He was born in the village of Ockham in the English county of Surrey. He is well-known today for his methodological principle known as “ Ockham’s Razor, or Occam’s Razor”.

Occam’s Razor: This is the principle of parsimony. It suggests when faced with multiple theories or hypotheses, the one that has the least assumptions should be looked at first.

That doesn’t mean the hypotheses with the least assumptions is the correct one, it means that would be a good place to start.

His principle also states, “Don’t multiply entities beyond necessity”, which could point to individuals on both sides of the Occam’s Razor’s teeter totter. One using his principle in the ‘for” argument, while one is using it in the “against” argument.

Let me explain.

In the realm of UFOlogy let’s look at Alien abductions, something my friend Stan Romanek knows a lot about. Skeptics will claim Occam’s Razor supports that aliens are not the most plausible explanation for people claiming to have been abducted, which would say Stan and thousands of others who have had abduction experiences actually experienced sleep paralysis or just plain lied. But UFO investigators as myself could say, Occam’s Razor is in favor of the abductee’s testimony once you include the biological evidence associated with their cases.

Einstein once stated: “Make everything as simple as possible but not simpler”.

Making assumptions simpler could lead you in the wrong direction. Ask any homicide detective if this isn’t true.

Example: A man who looks like President Obama has been captured on a video surveillance camera robbing a bank. The simplest explanation is, “Our president just robbed a bank!” True this could be a way his administration is helping to eliminate our national deficit, but an intelligent explanation would assume it wasn’t our president, but a criminal dressed up like him.

See Einstein is correct, “simpler” is not the answer.

Back to Occam’s Razor.

So if we use Occam’s Razor to explain life on this planet, the religious fundamentalist will use it in their favor claiming intelligent creation is the answer, but the evolutionists will use it in their favor claiming evolution is.

Who’s right and who’s wrong? They both used Occam’s Razor in their favor based on their beliefs if it be religion or science.

In my investigations I’ll use Occam’s Razor to start my investigation by looking at the obvious aspects of the investigation first, then eliminating them based on evidence accumulated or based on the lack of evidence accumulated.

Example: Thousands of Animal Mutilations have occurred in the USA and since the very first media reported case in 1967 here in Colorado, no one has been caught, tried and convicted for these animal cruelty crimes. The principle of Occam’s Razor has me look for human evidence first which could cause the mutilation, because that would be the most easiest to explain. When human evidence cannot be found, then I jump into the next phase looking for animal predator evidence, which again would be the second easiest to explain. When there is a lack of animal predator evidence, then I have to look for other types of evidence which is not so common or easily explained.

So if you look at the principle of Occam’s Razor by itself when starting an investigation, it has you look for the most common or explainable evidence first, but does not claim the simplest explanation is always the correct one.

So skeptics please use another avenue other than Occam’s Razor for your defense, because you’re losing that battle. If you persist, then I’ll be forced to throw at you, Walter Chatton’s “Anti-razor” theory which will probably confuse you even more.

Hint: Walter Chatton (1290-1343) was an English theologian and philosopher who generally debated William of Ockham.

To sum up this blog, “Skeptics it’s time to put-to-bed your Occam’s Razor’s defense, please try another avenue, one that is a little more challenging for me; But if you still want to persist with the “Razor”, let me suggest, Gillette.”

A Summary of some of the Events:

January: The most publicized animal mutilation of 2012 occurred on January 5th near the Kansas City International Airport, Kansas City Missouri. Originally reported by Fox 4 News Kansas City, this mutilation was unique due to the mutilation site. The 7-year-old cow was found dead with the udders, bag, mammary glands and vulva removed. What was so interesting about this mutilation was the close proximity of the death near the airport. Airport security patrols near the area where the animal was found, so this mutilation occurred under their noses.

My good friend psychic and investigator Margie Kay along with fellow investigator Geremy Pearce, went to the site and collected soil samples for me. Lab analysis on the soil compared with other soil analysis from my previous mutilations showed the nutrients in the soil were altered compared to their corresponding test location.

Conclusion? Well….

February: It was my pleasure to do a book review on “UFO’s Above the Law”. Written by Frank Soriano and his good friend James Bouck, this book covered UFO sightings from law enforcement individuals across the US. Formerly involved in law enforcement like Frank, I found this book very compelling and a must read for all. Many police officers refuse to report their sightings due to their department’s back lash in which I experienced first hand. As a former deputy, other deputies had told me their experiences under their breath, always concerned how they would be treated by their own department. What a shame. A big thumbs up to Frank and James for breaking the chain of command ice and publishing this book for all of us to experience.

April: Another animal mutilation. Rancher Windell Gillis of Dodge County Georgia reported a calf mutilation to local authorities which occurred on his property on April 14th. The four-month bull calf had damage to one of its eyes and a perfect 5 inch circle of hide removed with surgical precision. I contacted Windell and interviewed him over the phone about his mutilation and convinced him to take soil samples for me. After a quick over the phone lesson on the proper techniques of soil accumulation, a week later I had the samples in hand. Many thanks to Rancher Gillis for taking the time to do this not just for me, but for all of us. Analysis? The same as the Kansas City Missouri mutilation. I’m starting to see a pattern now.

May: One of the best Bigfoot sightings here in Colorado occurred and UFOnut.com was the first site contacted and the first on scene to do a complete and thorough investigation.

Kate and her friend Diane, while hiking in the Pike National Forest in Bailey, Colorado, heard a loud tree branch snap off in the distance. As they turned their heads towards the noise, they saw a large Bigfoot run by. My investigation concluded the Bigfoot was 7 feet 2 inches leaning over which would make him at least 9 feet tall. My team and I found evidence which included footprints and broken branches caused by something extremely large running at top speed through the area. A follow-up investigation a week after the first, included a local tracker with Search and Rescue which uncovered even more evidence. This is “currently” the best Bigfoot case I’ve worked on so far, and so good, that it will be featured in 2013 on a network TV show. At this time I can’t disclose the details of the show, but will when approval is given to me.

Thank you Kate and Diane for contacting UFOnut.com, and yes… sightings are still occurring.

June: The largest and most damaging wildfire in Colorado’s history happened in my own backyard. The Waldo Canyon fire burned well over 18,000 acres causing over 32,000 residents to be evacuated in which two ultimately died due to exposure. 346 homes were destroyed with insurance claims reaching over $350 million dollars.

During the fire I ran an experiment in which I shot IR video during the daytime focusing on potential burn areas looking for hot spots before they flare up. The reason behind this? The Forest Service Type 1 Team was conducting fly overs at night shooting IR looking for hot spots. This is extremely dangerous due to low visibility which includes heavy smoke. Add the canyons and peaks the planes are flying through, and now shooting IR at night is even more dangerous.

My thought was to use a camera with IR capability with a filter attached blocking out all white light which will only enable infrared to be video taped. I’ve used this technique multiple times looking for UFO evidence in which white light is masking. My results were crude but successful, so I released a video on this site. My hopes were for the Type 1 team to use this technique which is less dangerous than night-time fly-overs.

June/July: Due to talking to residents around the Waldo Canyon fire burn area, I learned there were previous Bigfoot sightings in that exact location. I was fortunate to meet Dana, a man who not only heard a Bigfoot yell, but was able to get a cast from a footprint he found and was also able to get a possible picture of the big guy. After interviewing him, I released pictures of his cast and a potential picture of the Bigfoot himself.

September: Cattle mutilation this time in Colorado. During the Labor Day holiday I ran an investigation on the Torres mutilation. The mutilation occurred outside Trinidad, Colorado in which a young Heifer less than a year old had been found dead. The animal’s tongue was missing as well as a large area where the udder used to be. What was so fascinating about this case, is that the animal was found lying in a 20 foot circular depression. This was the third such case I’ve investigated in which the animal was lying in a crop circle type depression. Soil samples were taken and analysis matched my previous cases. I now have a base line to work on and know which soil nutrients are affected by mutilation cases.

November: FOX31 news had confirmed a local man’s report of UFO’s flying over the Denver metropolitan area. The UFOs appeared to have been small probe-like or drone-like. I went down to the area two separate times to investigate the sightings and on my second time appeared to have picked up anomalies on film. I haven’t released my conclusions yet because I’m still conversing with a witness who actually experienced a sighting there three years before. More on this story in 2013.

December: The probability of the end of the world or a zombie uprising put the UFOnut team at a cemetery late night December 20th waiting for the 21st to roll in. Although no zombies were found and the world didn’t end, I did pick up two substantial EMF hits on my meter after midnight. Was is due to 12/21 or just an unusual resident at the cemetery?

In between investigations and interviews not mentioned here from 2012, a few months of my time were consumed with the possibility of my sister Debbie and I hosting our own 1 hour special for Nat Geo Wild on Animal Mutilations. Working with a production company out of LA with months of my preparation which included details of my investigations, details of other cases, witnesses, expert witnesses and everything else they needed, the project was two weeks away from filming when stabbed in the heart by the top brass at Nat Geo. Even though no clear explanation was giving to me about the last-minute cancellation of my project, a representative with Nat Geo alluded to the failure of their current show, “Chasing UFOs” as the culprit.

or… Maybe the decision was that Nat Geo didn’t think over 10,000 reported cases of animal mutations since 1967 is very important, or that animal mutilation deaths are the largest unresolved (cold cases) in US history, or that it’s viewers wouldn’t think this subject is very important, but guys missing teeth chasing crocodiles in the swamps are.

I don’t know, you’ll have to ask them.

Anyway, I was featured on episode three of Chasing UFOs titled, “Alien Cowboys” which is still airing in the wee hours of the night. The failure of that show was “in my opinion” the lack of investigative experience. Their scientific investigator Ben, had no previous experience in the paranormal field and when I talked with him on location, I learned very quickly he would fail. Ryder, previously seen on Destination Truth hosted by Josh Gates who’s was just an actor when he landed that gig, knew more about the paranormal phenomenon than Ben. As for leader James Fox, I like him and we got along great, we still chat from time to time and I hope James gets another shot, he deserves it.

Be Aware: There will be new paranormal shows coming out in 2013, if you cannot find any history on the internet about their personal investigators that do not pertain to that TV show, it’s because they are not professional investigators, just actors or what the production company thinks they can pass off as investigators. We in this profession call these guys “Posers” and the production companies who try to pawn them off to us, “Frauds”. This also goes for current shows too! Do a little research and you’ll know which production company, and which network, is lying to you, and which are “Posers” and which are “Frauds”.

As for me in 2013 , I’ll keep plugging away at my investigations and releasing my findings on this website. I’m not an actor, just an investigator doing what I love to do, and I won’t hesitate a minute sharing what I learn, with you.

Special thanks to UFOnut team members Matt Morgan and Trina Bivens, I couldn’t have done it without you in 2012.

Details on all investigations mentioned on this blog can be found on this site.

Happy New Year!
