Extreme Conspiracy Theorists, are They Crazy?
I get a lot of emails to my website, mostly from people who want to tell me about their UFO experience or may have a comment or suggestion about a blog I’ve wrote, but from time to time I get emails from, let’s say, unusual people.
Now you need to understand my definition of unusual compared to some other people’s definition is not the same. As a UFO investigator my definition of unusual doesn’t pertain to people who’ve had very unusual paranormal experiences, my definition of unusual pertains to some people who are completely out of touch with reality. And there are a few I have run in to from time to time.
Case in point, I received a lot of emails, I mean obsessive compulsive disorder amount of emails from a guy named, Mitja, at ( jerenkomitja50@gmail.com ). I normally don’t post emails or people’s last names unless I deem them a threat to other UFOlogists. This person must have seen me on TV or a Podcast and went to my website. Normally that’s ok, but when you’re dealing with a hard headed Conspiracy Theorists, then there could be issues. Now Mitja, resides in Ljubljana, the capitol of Slovenia and claims to be a UFO and Paranormal investigator, but I doubt that, he’s more of an extremists with issues. He’s probably one of those people who claim to be investigators because they watch UFO shows on TV, then jump on the Internet to do some researching. They have a tendency to research only those subjects which aligns with their way of thinking then go crazy with it. So much so, they can become a threat to other people.
So this person is trying to tell me how experienced they are as an investigator, (through email) and their first line of convincing me is stating our planet is flat. Yep, this is a Flat Earth theorist. Oh no another one of these guys, and yes I’ve dealt with these types of individuals before. But Mitja is different, he’s very compulsive, so much so he’s way past reasoning and into obsession. His one goal in life, it appears, is to convince others he’s correct in his line of thinking. You know the type, like the overly religious types that stand on street corners yelling through a bull horn saying the world is coming to the end.
Yes the world is coming to an end and yes we’re all going to die, but this is all based on time. (Btw) When is Jesus coming? For the past 50 years of my life I’ve been hearing this every year! I bet he already came and decided to leave. Too many crazy people here. ha ha
Well, I was trying to be polite and responded to the many emails with proper explanations, but that only angered poor Mitja who then called me a liar and said I was part of the Government Conspiracy.
Well so much for being nice.
Unhooked people like this get angry if you don’t believe what they’re saying no matter how utterly ridiculous it is. These types of people tend to have underlying issues related to their self-esteem or a history of trauma. Either way, the thirst for validation can make them feel worthy of their cause. On the flip side, they may also be a loner who have no one to talk to, so they get on the Internet to full-fill that void in their life. Either way, it’s sad.
At first I was going to blow this person off but then decided, I really should try to understand what makes people like this act the way they do. What drives them? Where do they get their information from? So I decided to press this person for more information and turn these annoying emails in to a social experiment then blog about it. I also wanted to know how much bad and un-reliable information is actually bouncing around the Internet especially in other countries like, Slovenia.
Well, fasten your seatbelts boys and girls and get ready for a wild and crazy ride. Here’s is just a few of nifty tid-bits from our new friend, Mitja, all the way from Slovenia.
- There’s a glass dome covering the Earth.
- The moon is not responsible for the Lunar Eclipse.
- There is no moon, stars and planets, they are all holograms.
- We have never been to the Moon. (Ok that one is debatable. ha ha)
- The Earth has no rotation.
- Volcanic lava does not exist in the Earth at all, it’s all photo-shopped.
- Apple corporation put microchips in the Coronavirus vaccine to track people.
- Satellites don’t exist because they can’t orbit a Flat Earth, it’s a hoax.
- Every jet contrail is a chemtrail releasing heavy metals and radioactive metals in the air to poison us. ( Chemtrails were real and I think they were linked to HAARP. I witnessed two airplanes laying down a grid of chemtrails when I lived in So. Cal. )
- The world elites like the Illuminati and Freemasons are working on mind control and brainwashing people.
- The secret Alien government is slowly transforming human civilization into transhumanism.
Ok, I had to look up “Transhumanism”: The belief or theory that the human race can evolve beyond its current physical and mental limitations, especially by means of science and technology.
Ok, back to the list of conspiracies.
- The shadow rulers have a plan to reduce the world population to 500 million.
- All world religions are created by reptilians to destroy our consciousness.
- The Illuminati drink children’s blood.
- The Vatican has a shape of a lizard’s head, they are the center of Satanism.
- Most people don’t get to live to see old age because the shadow rulers poison us.
- There’s an ancient civilization living deep within the Earth. (Ok, Hallow Earth Theory.)
- Rockets don’t travel into space, they just fall back to Earth because there is no space. (Well lately that’s true with SpaceX.) “Oh, burn!” thankyouthankyou
Quote from Mitja: Anyone who doesn’t believe me are liars and true UFO investigators would know this, so you are not a true investigator but a liar too!
I probably know what you’re thinking, and you’re probably correct, but the reality is, there are people out there who really and truly believe this stuff! And the only thing keeping us from them is 2 yellow lines on the middle of the street while we’re driving. Scary huh?
Mitja also stated that our US Secret Service is threatening all the Flat Earth theorists. Maybe that’s why we had some inexperienced agents trying to protect Trump? All the experienced agents were traveling all over the world and threatening the Flat Earth theorists. ( I knew it!)
Remember “Mad” Mike Hughes, he was a daredevil and self-proclaimed Flat-Earth theorist. He died in February 2020 while trying to launch a homemade rocket to prove the Earth is flat. Maybe he hit that glass dome Mitja was talking about, I’m sure Mitja believes that.
Sure some of Mitja’s theories are probably correct like, governments are hiding alien technology from us, or there’s a New World Order, but it appears Mitja is really believing every conspiracy theory he hears.
What troubles me and maybe you is, people like Mitja from this country and other countries truly believe these absurd theories so much so, they live by them. Shut off from society because they’re scared, they hide in the shadows pondering what to do next. Who knows how far these guys will go? Of course most of this stuff he’s talking about is over 30 years old. It’s probably coming around again on social media and people like Mitja are now just starting to absorb it. ( I bet it’s Reddit, ha ha.) I mean back in the day the Navy was getting phone calls from TV viewers asking why the passengers from the Gilligan’s Island show haven’t been saved. And remember the Weekly World News headlines that some people thought was gospel?
- Hillary Clinton Adopts Alien Baby!
- 12 US Senators Are Space Aliens!
- Earth is Flat and Round!
- Bat Child Is Found In Cave!
- Mini Mermaid Found in Tuna Sandwich!
- Duck Hunters Shoot Angel! ( Oh no! Wonder what it tasted like? )
- I Was Bigfoot’s Love Slave!
- I Married Bigfoot!
Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve found some tabloid stories could be true, because I (not by name) was mentioned in the Weekly World News as one of the UFO Investigators at an archeology dig outside of Roswell. Well that did really happen but we didn’t find an alien skull which the article stated. The article showed a large alien skull half buried in the desert sand and it was identical to a skull I had bought at the Roswell UFO Festival. ha ha
So what about people like Mitja, do they mean well or have an underlying mental issue? I know there are some conspiracy theories which are true but not proven yet and some from the past have been proven like; the CIA’s Secret Mind Control project and of course the military’s Remote Viewing project. Ok, so I understand why some Flat Earth theorist think the way they do, but to think a Glass Dome is covering the Earth and no rocket has ever gone into space because space is just a hologram?
Well, you tell me?
This is what the American Phycological Association has to say about conspiracy theorists.
The American Phycological Association states:
People can be prone to believe in conspiracy theories due to a combination of personality traits and motivations, including relying strongly on their intuition, feeling a sense of antagonism and superiority toward others, and perceiving threats in their environment.
“Conspiracy theorists are not all likely to be simple-minded, mentally unwell folks—a portrait which is routinely painted in popular culture,” said Bowes. “Instead, many turn to conspiracy theories to fulfill deprived motivational needs and make sense of distress and impairment.”
In the past 35 years doing field investigations, interviewing people and answering emails, I’ve learned there are many uninformed people out there who think they know alot about UFOlogy, but are way wrong. It’s not their fault, some people tend to believe what they see or hear on TV. This makes it even worse especially when most of the UFO shows on TV lack experienced investigators. Most of the investigative team I’ve seen appeared to have been assembled using DEI regulations. Didn’t matter if they really knew anything, production companies just needed individuals to fit the regulated mold. It had gotten so bad, I was literally throwing up in my mouth trying to stomach what some of these show’s investigators were spewing out on TV. As for my TV show, Alien Highway, my team was made up of an experienced UFO investigator, and experienced ghost investigator, and experienced law enforcement deputy with investigative skills. It worked!
But what about Mitja, this very misguided individual who can’t ascertain the difference between what is reality and what isn’t? This person is not stupid because he knows how to pull information from the internet, he can read, type and email, so why so misdirected? When experience investigators try to explain our investigations and what we’ve learned, we’re called liars because we don’t agree with the theorists. Or maybe the vast majority of humans on this planet have all been brainwashed leaving a small percentage of people like Mitja to fight the good fight to save humanity. I’m sure that’s what he thinks.
Sounds like a cheap film you can find on Hulu.
I don’t hate people like Mitja, I just find them annoying, but it’s not entirely their fault. So many (A-hole) Youtubers out there who have released fake videos of UFO’s flying by, or are spewing mis-information just to catch your attention, all do it for money. It’s greed. And when people like Mitja visits these websites or watches these videos, they succumb to the false narrative and slowly drift away from reality. And when analytical people like me try to keep our information on the science side which can be verified, well we’re called liars or assumed we’ve already been brainwashed to spread mis-information.
And this is all going to get worse now with AI.
As for Mitja? Well since I’ve been writing this blog he has emailed me a lot more with more mis-information trying to get me to agree with him but ultimately I had to blacklist his email. I’m sure if I didn’t “spam” his email address, he would eventually lose interest and find another person he can annoy. People like Mitja strive for attention, so much so, they go to the Internet because the people around them will no longer listen. Well they keep pushing by adding more ridiculous conspiracy theories to their hat of tricks, hoping someone will listen which will give them some closure. And if they don’t get the closure they want and need, well either they’ll burn out or finally succumb to reality. But if they keep going in the direction they’re going in for too long, they may end up dead like “Mad” Mike Hughes trying to prove what he so believed. And that would be sad because people like Mitja really need to do is, open their eyes.
